Core Values in Business

Core Values I have had the pleasure to make this a priority in my business and in my clients as well .

“Core Values” through out an organization set’s the bar for employees and customers.

Everything we do should be aligned with the core values we set for our company.

Perfect examples of the “big dogs” doing this: Zappos.com (I love these guys), Google, Apple, Kayak.com

Study them and see how their core values have built a culture around their brand.

It becomes more then just a buy and sale transaction but an experience that causes people to have to tell others.

An experience so unique that we can not keep it inside…..

Recently there was a huge successful launch by Andy Jenkins the Video Boss!

It was interesting him make a few points on one of his blogs referring to how he did it:

“It was important that I demonstrate 2 things to my audience: First, I know what I’m talking about. Second, establish my core values so that people know what I’m all about.”

“I don’t mean to get all “wishy-washy” with “The Secret” style stuff on you. But I’ve found the truest of those kinds of sayings is that in order to get what you want out of life, help others get what they want.”

This is just another example of a guy who had a huge million dollar launch..and how he views business.

Best thing to do is spend a little time reviewing the core values of your business no matter how many people are in it.

Take it to the next level and survey your organization and build a core value system with them involved.

Even if it’s just a one man show.  Are they in line with the operations, employees, clients, and all new decisions being made on a daily basis?  Are they posted for everyone to see even your clients….My action plan is to add them to my site this week…anyone want to join me??
